Medical notice
How ItsHomeopathy content is produced, what it is for, and how to use it responsibly — scope, evidence approach, emergencies, and links policy.
This notice explains how ItsHomeopathy produces and presents its content, what that content is for, and how to use it responsibly. We ask every reader to go through it fully before using remedy or condition guides for any practical purpose.
Our mission
We provide organised educational information about homeopathic medicine drawn from two centuries of clinical practice, the published materia medica literature, and openly presented evidence debate. ItsHomeopathy exists because practitioners, students, and the public deserve a well-structured homeopathy library — grounded in classical sources, checked against at least two references per monograph, and honest about what the evidence does and does not establish. Our editorial policy describes the production process in full, and every remedy-condition discussion on this site carries explicit safety boundaries.
Educational purpose
Everything here is educational. It supports — but never replaces — the relationship between a patient and their healthcare providers. Remedy profiles describe symptom pictures and differentiations documented in the classical literature; condition guides explain how homeopathic practitioners approach complaints, with red-flag sections on every page; learn articles cover principles, history, pharmacy, and method; evidence pages present the research landscape with objections intact.
We write for practising homeopaths, students, patients considering or receiving homeopathic care, and genuinely curious readers. While we work to keep content clinically useful as a reference, no page substitutes for the judgment of a qualified practitioner assessing an individual case in person — nor for the diagnosis, treatment, or advice of your medical doctor.
Not individual prescription
Nothing on this website is a prescription for any individual. Homeopathic treatment is individualised by nature: two people sharing one conventional diagnosis routinely need entirely different remedies once symptom patterns, constitutions, and modalities are weighed. The keynote clusters, modality tables, and potency discussions here describe general patterns from the literature — they are study material, not self-treatment recommendations.
For personal treatment, consult a qualified homeopathic practitioner who can take your full case and follow it up over time. This matters most for chronic and recurrent complaints, complex or multi-layered cases, children, pregnancy, old age with polypharmacy, mental-health presentations — and whenever conventional medical treatment is also in play, which must never be stopped for homeopathic trial without your doctor.
No practitioner–client relationship
Reading this site creates no practitioner–client relationship with anyone behind it — authors, reviewers, or listed practitioners alike. Clinical observations shared in guides are offered to show how homeopathic reasoning works, never directed at any reader’s personal case. A genuine practitioner–client relationship requires a formal consultation with full case-taking and professional responsibility for the plan; no such relationship arises from reading published educational material, however detailed.
Our evidence approach
We present the evidence landscape without hype in either direction. Remedy monographs are cross-checked against classical sources (Boericke, Kent, Clarke, Allen traditions); contested questions — trial results, basic-science claims, dilution physics — are carried to the evidence hub where objections are steelmanned with primary sources rather than dismissed. Where the literature is thin, we say so; where clinical tradition is the main support, we label it as such instead of dressing it as trial evidence.
Because evidence grading systems differ across institutions and evolve with new research, we do not stamp remedy pages with grades that could mislead; instead each guide states its basis plainly (proving, toxicology, clinical tradition, or cited studies) so readers can weigh it themselves. Our evidence overview and skeptic hub carry the full debate.
About homeopathic medicine
Homeopathy is a 200-year-old therapeutic system with its own pharmacopoeia, case-taking methodology, and extensive clinical literature, practised and regulated in many countries — including statutory recognition with public hospitals and medical colleges in India, and formal frameworks in several other nations. Research institutions such as India’s Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy publish treatment guidelines and conduct studies within government frameworks, while the mechanism of highly diluted preparations remains scientifically contested and under active discussion.
We present homeopathy as what it is: a complete traditional system with deep clinical literature whose scientific standing is genuinely debated — neither inflating its evidence base nor dismissing two centuries of documented practice. Readers holding either prior should find the presentation fair; readers wanting the debate in full should start with What Is Homeopathy and the evidence hub.
Emergency situations
In a medical emergency, seek professional help immediately through local emergency services — without delay and without consulting remedy guides first. Homeopathic study runs alongside emergency medicine, never ahead of it; the two are not mutually exclusive, but urgency always belongs to medicine. Every condition guide on this site carries a red-flags section describing signs that need prompt or emergency assessment — provided as a genuine safety service, not as boilerplate. When in doubt about severity, always err toward professional evaluation.
External and affiliate links
We link outward to research sources, institutional references, and educational material for further study; links are checked at publication but we cannot guarantee external content, accuracy, or continued availability, and linking never implies endorsement of a site’s views or products. Separately, condition and remedy pages contain Amazon search links carrying our Associate tag, and the glossary carries a book list — all disclosed under our affiliate disclosure. Affiliate relationships never influence which remedies are discussed or how they are ranked.
